IT Governance – Key Methods

The below can be seen as a Guideline that will assist with accomplishing goals as an IT professional.

Key method: Balanced Scorecard, lays out enterprise and IT related goals and grouping them with balanced score card perspectives. [1, page 10]. This method gives a realistic approach that would make sense to the practitioner opposed to simply presenting vague concepts that may not apply to them. The vehicle of being a “scorecard” makes this a intuitive method once can refer to in their practice of IT Governance opposed to having to refer to extensive documentation.
