Welcome to my IT Professional Toolkit!
The goal of this toolkit is to provide useful information that can help IT Professionals. This toolkit contains information I found useful from various sources (i.e. COBIT 4 & COBIT 5) that I found interesting, my thoughts on some of information, and also contains knowledge gained during my career and educational experience. Lastly I also will use this toolkit to post projects I work on.

Subject Matter Expertise
My background is in that of Software Development (i.e. Enterprise Applications). Much of the focus of this toolkit is targeted to those who may be looking to become a professional in this area, or are already in this area.
Summary
In this day and age IT is critical in giving organizations strategic advantage. In the past typically the only companies that focused on technology were technology companies, but now many non-technology companies are having to bolster their technology portfolios (whether in house or via consultants) in order to compete. Because of this, it is critical that IT professionals have a toolkit that will accompany them as they navigate this new age of business where technology is becoming so integrated in business that the lines begin to blur (meaning IT is no longer seen as a silo department known for fixing things but is now seen as an actual “thought partner” helping organizations accomplish goals in all areas).
I believe this toolkit can provide value as it is easy to digest due to its casual yet direct nature to help individuals of all levels succeed.
Recommendations
While this toolkit may provide assistance, it is critical that IT Professionals (including myself) engage in continued education. Whether it is formal or informal, technology moves at such a rapid rate that individuals must continue to learn new things. Experience plus knowledge are keys to success in any field, not just that of technology.
